Many of you will notice a name change. Please let me explain. I was trying out the "innocentbuystamper" idea for a bit - it was clever (to me anyway) and I REALLY liked it, but it was was part of the blog hang-up - "what did it really mean?" So I did some soul searching and decided "The Messier Tessier" was quite appropriate, not only in my stamping world, but at home too. My husband is the neat one in the family, sometimes I think my 20 month old is more neat than I am. ANYWAY - it works. Please let me know what you think!
So, without further adeau, here is POST #1 of "The Messier Tessier", this week's projects.
Circle Circus Flower Garden:
I wasn't convinced of this set when I ordered it and now I am SO in LOVE with it. While I was mounting it, I realized how versatile this set really is.... you can use the stamps as a background pattern, build a brad pattern, punch out the pattern to make DSP-like effects for flowers and circles (shown here). I was mourning the retirement of "Seeing Spots" - this set definitely provides a similar purpose AND more.

Supplies:
- 1" circle punch
- Circle Circus Stamp Set
- Barely Banana cardstock
- Soft Suede cardstock
- Tall Tales DSP
- Soft Suede polka dotted ribbon
- Scallop Edge punch
- Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker
- Sentiment from: Pocket Silhouettes
The inspiration for this card came from a woman on SCS - I must give credit to StampinwithLisaC for the wonderful color combination.
SU! Corner BookMark:
Stampin's up published this in the demonstrator publication this month "Stampin Success". I am an avid reader and couldn't believe I hadn't made one of these before! Now I will never be bookmark-less again! To make it a little easier for you to replicate, here is the basic idea. Cut a square piece of paper out of your favorite solid paper. I used a 5" x 5" here. Fold or score into equally sized quandrants. Cut out one square to make a "L" shape. Then, fold the outer squares into each other to make the bookmark. Cut out the designer series paper (DSP) of your choice a full 1/2" larger than ONE square of the larger paper and use the scallop edge punch. After punching out the flower in the center square of your MAIN piece, ahere the DSP. Then assemble, by gluing the back flaps together. The ribbon IS optional, but I like it to anchor it in the book. I used the Razzleberry Red polka dot ribbon and the slot punch.
These projects were featured at my NEW Idea Book & Catalog Launch party held on July 1st! If you are interested in attending my next event, please email me.
